Javiera Soto Breiding
Javiera came to Brockville to accommodate her English language skills, and to be close to her husband’s home province of Quebec. She has started her own Chilean food business, called Sabor Del Sur.
David first came to Canada as a graduate student at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, and then Carleton University in Ottawa. He now lives in Kemptville where he founded the local newspaper, The North Grenville Times.
Employment and business opportunities brought Kashif and his wife to Brockville. They are now very active members in a number of community organizations.
During a visit with Frank’s brother, who had already moved to Canada, Frank decided that Canada would be a good place to call home. He now resides in Kemptville and adores the quiet, rural lifestyle it offers.
Alice Yao Wang
Alice moved to Canada from China. She finds Leeds and Grenville to be a very friendly place, with lots of people willing to help and support people who are new to the area.
Kamyar came to Brockville via the Toronto area. He was drawn to the Child and Youth Worker program at St. Lawrence College. Kamyar has found work in his field, and enjoys spending time near the St. Lawrence River.

Cionita worked around the world as a social worker for a US funded hospital before moving to Canada. Canada’s positive reputation around the world encouraged her to move here.
Cecilia relocated to Canada from Scotland. By moving out of her comfort zone and reaching into the Leeds and Grenville community, she made valuable connections to secure employment in her field.
